CARLA TUCKER
I envisaged this body of work to "glow" during a cold Melbourne winter. I imagined a painting illuminated in the gallery window on a cold & rainy night.
The interpretation of glow takes many forms here; whether the luminescence of a fresh bloom, glass refracting, distorting & magnifying light, a simple pop of colour in a mostly subdued palette, or the translucent flesh of a freshly cut lemon, in all these expressions I hope to evoke warmth, radiance & beauty.
