Based in Melbourne, Carla graduated from Textile Design at RMIT and worked in the fashion & textile industry for many years. Eventually she was seduced by the pure creativity of oil painting.

Since 2015, Carla has been dedicated to oil painting full time. Carla paints from life as it allows her to construct a subject with a strong design element & observe the result of daylight on the objects. Carla’s inspirations are abundant from modern masters; Matisse, Van Gogh, Gauguin and closer to home Australian 􏰀􏰁􏰂􏰃􏰄􏰅􏰆􏰇painters Dorrit Black􏰊􏰋􏰆􏰅􏰈􏰃􏰄􏰇 􏰇􏰌􏰍􏰎 􏰋􏰇and Alison Rehfisch.
